Working on wedding art is one of my favorites! The client (bride) usually knows exactly what she wants and I just help bring it to life. When my best friend and roommate for almost 6 years, Emily, got engaged, I was thrilled (and hoping) she wanted me to do the art! Perhaps you already guessed it, it's a beach wedding. Happy May, the month that's all about moms! Naturally, the theme for this month's skirt! magazine is just that, motherhood. While I myself am not a mother, I am blessed to have an amazing mom of my own and 2 wonderful grandmothers. This illustration was inspired by one of my grandmothers, Granny, who just passed away in March on the first day of Spring. She lived a full and wonderful 92 years on this earth.
