My Health Journey Part I

in New Artwork .

My Health Journey 2016 was quite the year for me. I'll start by saying that my health was an aspect of my life that I took for granted (like many of us do). I have always been exceptionally healthy and prided myself on it a bit. Very seldom sick, in good shape, and I ate what I (and most Americans) thought of as a good diet. Truth be told, I felt slightly invincible. Diagnosed with an Autoimmune Disease However, that all changed a few years back when I was diagnosed out of the blue with an autoimmune disease. If you aren't sure exactly what that means, in a nut shell it's when your bo..

Sun, Sand, and Summer

in New Artwork .

As of last week the summer season has officially started! I couldn't be more happy. I'm a summer baby, so that means the heat and I are besties. I'll take 95+ degree weather anyday (or everyday for that matter) of the week. Naturally, this season is full of plenty of beach and surf time hence this illustration. Perhaps she's walking back from a nice barefoot beach stroll. Flowers in tow. Tossled hair. Because don't we always look this flawless when walking on the beach?  Happy beginning of summer!  xoxo, ..

Girls Weekend and Equestrian Art

in New Artwork, Art Exhibits & Events .

What's better than playing with ponies? Playing with ponies with friends! A few weekends ago I was in Ocala, Florida celebrating the upcoming wedding of my bestie, Ashley Cline, owner of EquestrianStylist.com. Her family has a horse farm there so a bunch of us girls met for some rest/relaxation surrounded by green pastures, ponies, and a bunch of other furry friends. I was in heaven! We played with chickens (yes, chickens), laid by the pool, and had a photoshoot dressed in a our best derbyesque attire. New York City milliner, Christine A. Moore, sent Ashley some gorgeous hats and Ash's mom, Ka..

The Holidays are Here

in New Artwork .

So, hello blog. And happy December! It's been a while. I've been on quite a bit of a hiatus but for good reason. I'm still working on that blog post now and will add soon. I promise. On another note, can we talk about the fact that Thanksgiving is now over and we are moving on to the next holoiday?! I know I'm not the only who can't believe that Christmas is LESS than 4 weeks away. This happens every year...October and November fly by and before you know it, it's the most magical (and a tad bit stressful) time of the year. I did some studio organizing recently and found some pieces that ..

Columbia Airport Art Exhibit Year 2

in Art Exhibits & Events .

So it happened again! I am pleased to say I was chosen for the second year in a row as one of the "Peoples Choice" artists at the Columbia Museum of Art Contemparies Art Gala. While the gala actually happened a few months ago, I'm writing about it now because we just set up the exhibit in the Columbia Metropolitan Airport which came along with being chosen as a fan favorite or top seller at the event. I am so honored to have been chosen again and have this opportunity! Thanks Columbia Contemporaries' and obviously the people who voted for my work!  Derek and I headed to the Capitol Cit..

Charleston Cup 2015

in New Artwork .

Another year of the Charleston Cup has come and gone and this year was certainly one for the books. A little rain, cold, and mud couldn't get us down! Well, maybe a tiny bit...I was freezing! No, seriously. My lips turned blue at one point. Granted I am the most cold natured person on the planet but still...Pants would have been a good idea but beauty is pain, right?  This year I was commissioned by the awesome peps at Snyder Events to illustrate a scene from the Cup of which would grace the back of this years tshirts. They had the vision, I just brought it to life. Below are some pics..
