Hermosa Jewelry's Visit to the Studio

in Art Studio .

My friend Haley, owner of Hermosa Jewelry, recently popped by the studio for a little visit. If you aren't familiar with her jewelry, then you should be! All the pieces are handmade by Haley with the upmost attention to detail and design. They are the perfect blend of being timeless yet fashion forward all in one! Notice the local hand painted oyster shell and pearl necklace I am wearing in the photo below...gorgeous! Also, below are a couple pictures Haley took while she was visiting, along with two illustrations I did specially for her. Check out her blog post about my illustrations as we..

Alison's Adventures Alison Teal

in New Artwork .

The first time I saw Alison Teal was randomly watching the Discovery Channel show "Naked and Afraid". This show seriously seems pretty frightening to me! Two strangers are dropped in a deserted region or island, completely naked, and have to find their way to a specific location in a certain amount a days. This is clearly not my cup of tea, but it sure is entertaining to watch (although I do confess it gives me a bit of anxiety)! Coastal Bride Blog Post

in New Artwork, Art Exhibits & Events .

My good friend, Gillian, at Coastal Bride recently used some of my illustrations for her blog site. The post included the most adorable DIY "Will you be my bridesmaid?" gift box that Gillian put together. Apparently, this is a newish thing for brides-to-be to give to their chosen bridesmaid. I was completely unaware of this extra little detail that has now been added to the modern day wedding to-do list, but I must say they are pretty awesome! Gillian used a couple of my bridal illustration notecards along with some other goodies including macaroons from Macaroon Boutique (my fav!), Fig + Y..

Hampton Classic Illustration

in New Artwork, Art Exhibits & Events .

I recently collaborated with Equestrian Stylist to create a one of a kind illustration for their ad campaign for the 2014 Hampton Classic Horse Show August 24-31 in New York. We also worked together to design a boutique vendor  and stable row vendor map. I must say, this horse girl might be one of my favorite illustrations yet! What a fabulous event to be able to attend!? Maybe I can go next year...fascinator and all!     ..

New Art Studio Found!

in Art Studio .

As some of you may know 193 King, the building where I had my studio, was sold a few months back. We knew things were going to change drastically once the sale was closed so we started searching for a new space. The search started out super frustrating; there seemed to be nothing out there the right size and/or price. Everything around town was either for a massive company with thousands of square footage or just WAY overpriced (not surprising for Charleston). Last week our search came to an end when we found a new studio just two blocks away! Makes for pretty easy moving, eh? We started the e..
