Trying to find the perfect wedding gift is always a difficult decision. One can choose something from the couples wedding registry but if you want something super unique you have to think outside the box. Now, I'm not saying artwork is necessarily "outside the box", but my recent commission is certainly special! This particular bride and groom were getting married at the stunning Olde Wide Awake Plantation. Their mothers contacted me several months back and wanted an oil painting of the plantation to surprise their kids. Also, before they presented the painting they wanted to get the whole wedding party to sign the back. How neat! I painted the piece on birch wood panel so it made it even easier for signing. I can only imagine how gorgeous the wedding was as that plantation is breathtaking!
