Among my many illustration subject matter some of my favorite happen to be around the holidays; particularly the custom Christmas card commissions. My clients have the vision and I just bring it to life. Below are a couple of my favs along with my own personal Christmas card. ..

Who doesn't love a nice elephant painting? These majestic creatures are always a fun subject to paint! Below is an illustration I did for my good friend who's from South Africa. Just like me, one of his favorite animals is the elephant. I'm feeling like this piece may have sparked a desire to paint more African wildlife! We will see! The first time I saw Alison Teal was randomly watching the Discovery Channel show "Naked and Afraid". This show seriously seems pretty frightening to me! Two strangers are dropped in a deserted region or island, completely naked, and have to find their way to a specific location in a certain amount a days. This is clearly not my cup of tea, but it sure is entertaining to watch (although I do confess it gives me a bit of anxiety)! I'm pretty sure I googled her (which I always do while watching tv) after she told the camera she was a surfer and adventurer. I was directed to her website and later found her Facebook and Instagram accounts and of course followed them! This girl is super amazing and inspirational! She had an extraordinary upbringing and leads the same adventure filled and sustainable life today. Naturally, I wanted to illustrate her...so I did! Behold Alison...grass skirt, surfboard, coconut bra and all!..

My good friend, Gillian, at Coastal Bride recently used some of my illustrations for her blog site. The post included the most adorable DIY "Will you be my bridesmaid?" gift box that Gillian put together. Apparently, this is a newish thing for brides-to-be to give to their chosen bridesmaid. I was completely unaware of this extra little detail that has now been added to the modern day wedding to-do list, but I must say they are pretty awesome! Gillian used a couple of my bridal illustration notecards along with some other goodies including macaroons from Macaroon Boutique (my fav!), Fig + Yarrow bath salts, festive paper straws, and some sparking wine from Sofia Mia. What girl wouldn't love to get one of these? Especially if it looked like the one below! ..

I recently collaborated with Equestrian Stylist to create a one of a kind illustration for their ad campaign for the 2014 Hampton Classic Horse Show August 24-31 in New York. We also worked together to design a boutique vendor  and stable row vendor map. I must say, this horse girl might be one of my favorite illustrations yet! What a fabulous event to be able to attend!? Maybe I can go next year...fascinator and all!     ..

This is a recent commission for the Bennett Hospitality group and their new restaurants on Hudson Alley. I can't wait to try them out! What a fun little alley way! Check them out beside Rue de Jean and Coast...
